OK, so this is my first attempt at blogging and I will warn you from the get-go....I never claimed to be a renowned author. I am just going to spill out what is on my mind and in my thoughts.
To start off, let me explain the name of my blog...."Be Still". This is something that has followed me for the past 8 months or so. It all started when things seemed to be going in the wrong direction for us. We were having to find a new place to live and I felt like my world was crashing down on me. In our Sunday School class we were discussing if we had ever had God "talk" to us. I didn't think that I had ever experienced that. So, that night I just looked up and said "If You're going to talk to me and let me know that You are real, NOW would be a great time to do so....." and left it at that. I went on with my business as usual and went to be at my normal time. Well.....sometime around 1:30/1:45 I woke up like I had slept all night...I sat straight up in my bed and couldn't see anyone, but just as clear as day, I heard...."Be still and know that I am God". Whelp....there was the answer that I was looking for. He was letting me know that He had all of this under control and I just needed to quit stressing over and "BE STILL". As it turned out, everything did work out. We are now in a new house and everything is going good.
Now it seems like I don't go more than 2 days before that scripture (Psalm 46:10) is brought up. Whether it is from a visiting pastor during revival.....a song on the radio....a billboard on the way to work.....or a plaque in a store. It totally amazes me how God can make Himself known to you in the most unusual places or at the most unusual times. Never would I have imagined that He would have spoke to me in the middle of the night.
So, I will close my first blog with these words straight from my heart......If there ever comes a day in your life that you feel you have nowhere to go or no one to turn to, just BE STILL!!! He is ALWAYS there with you!
